TYRONE WALLACE SIGNS 10-DAY CONTRACT WITH NEW ORLEANS PELICANS

LONG ISLAND (March 12, 2022) – Long Island Nets guard Tyrone Wallace has signed a 10-day contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. The call-up marks the 11th in Long Island Nets history, the first for the team this season and the first for Wallace.

Wallace has appeared in 16 games (11 starts) for Long Island this season, recording averages of 21.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.4 steals in 35.8 minutes per contest, while shooting 49.4 percent (119-of-241) from the field and 45.2 percent (42-of-93) from distance. He was originally acquired by the Nets via trade with Agua Caliente on Jan. 20.

The 27-year-old has appeared in 106 career NBA games (19 starts) across three seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers (2017-19) and the Atlanta Hawks (2019-20), recording averages of 5.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 15.5 minutes per game. He has also appeared in 95 career NBA G League games (63 starts) over five seasons with Salt Lake City (2016-17), College Park (2019-20), Agua Caliente (2017-21) and Long Island (2021-22), averaging 18.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.4 steals in 30.7 minutes per contest.
