TYRONE WALLACE REJOINS LONG ISLAND NETS

LONG ISLAND (March 30, 2022) – Guard Tyrone Wallace has rejoined the Long Island Nets, Brooklyn’s NBA G League affiliate, after being released from his second 10-day contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. In a related move, the Long Island Nets have waived guard Alex Robinson.

Wallace originally signed a 10-day contract with New Orleans on March 11 before signing a second 10-day contract on March 21. He appeared in six games for New Orleans, recording averages of 2.8 points and 1.3 rebounds in 12.5 minutes per contest. The Bakersfield, Calif., native has appeared in 16 games (11 starts) for Long Island this season, recording averages of 21.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.4 steals in 35.8 minutes per game, while shooting 49.6 percent (119-of-240) from the field and 45.7 percent (42-of-92) from distance. He was originally acquired by the Nets via trade with Agua Caliente on Jan. 20.

Robinson appeared in two games for Long Island this season, averaging 3.0 points, 1.0 assists and 1.5 steals in 13.0 minutes per game. He was originally acquired by the Nets from the available player pool on March 18.
