Long Island Nets to Play in 2021 NBA G League Season in Orlando

LONG ISLAND (Jan. 8, 2021) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, announced today that the team will play in the NBA G League’s 2021 season at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Fla.
The 2021 season will tip off in February and features 18 participating teams, including 17 NBA G League teams and G League Ignite. Led by Head Coach Bret Brielmaier, Long Island will play its regular season in Orlando and will vie for a return to the NBA G League playoffs, with the top eight teams advancing to a single-elimination postseason.
Players, coaches, team and league staff living on the NBA G League’s campus will be guided by comprehensive leaguewide health and safety protocols, which are based on the core principles of social distancing, mask wearing, hand hygiene and COVID-19 testing.
