LONG ISLAND NETS TO HOST ANNUAL SUMMER FEST AT JONES BEACH ON SATURDAY, AUG. 23

Community-based celebration will feature youth clinics, a run club and back-to-school donation drive to close out the summer

LONG ISLAND (July 17, 2025) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, today announced its annual Summer Fest community celebration will take place on Saturday, Aug. 23 at Field 4 at Jones Beach.

Long Island Nets Summer Fest is an annual open-to-the-public event designed to bring together fans, families and local supporters in celebration of community. The event will feature a live DJ and music, performances by the Long Island Nets Dance Team, a meet-and-greet with team mascot Dale the Eagle, and free giveaways from the team and community vendors.

Additionally, for the first time, Summer Fest will feature two youth basketball clinics, a youth dance clinic, and a 5K Run Club. The 5K Run Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. and is open to participants of all ages. Registration is now open for the following clinics:

The Long Island Nets will also launch their Back-to-School Donation Drive at Summer Fest in support of local students on Long Island. Attendees are encouraged to donate traditional school supplies to help youth in the Long Island community start the school year strong.

Summer Fest is the culminating event of the Long Island Nets’ 2025 Summer Tour following a summer of meaningful engagement with communities across Long Island through youth basketball clinics and camps, as well as appearances at local festivals. Leading up to the Summer Fest, the Long Island Nets will continue to host community clinics for children ages 8–14 at Manorhaven, Tanner, Phelps Lane, and Broadway Parks throughout July and August.

In the event of inclement weather, Summer Fest will be held on Aug. 24 at the same time and location.
