LONG ISLAND NETS REACQUIRE TALIB ZANNA

LONG ISLAND (Jan. 20, 2022) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, have reacquired forward Talib Zanna from the available player pool.
Zanna (6’9”, 230) was previously acquired by Long Island on Jan. 13 and waived on Jan. 19 after appearing in two games with the team this season, averaging 5.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in 14.0 minutes per contest. He previously appeared in 95 NBA G League games (78 starts) during two seasons (2014-16) with Oklahoma City, recording averages of 13.7 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 28.3 minutes per contest. Additionally, Zanna has played five seasons (2016-21) internationally in France, Israel, Spain and Turkey. Most recently, he spent the 2020-21 season overseas with Hapoel Tel Aviv B.C. of the Israeli Basketball Premier League, where he averaged 10.7 points and 7.3 rebounds in 24.8 minutes per game over seven appearances (all starts). Prior to his professional career, the Nigerian native played five collegiate seasons (2009-14) at Pittsburgh, averaging 8.3 points and 6.0 rebounds in 21.7 minutes per game over 135 games (94 starts).
