Long Island Nets Announce Staff Additions and Promotions

LONG ISLAND (Sept. 16, 2026) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, have named Khalif Wyatt, Bryson Johnson and Al Paul as assistant coaches and Vladimir Lukomski as head video coordinator/player development on Head Coach Shawn Swords’ staff alongside returning Assistant Coach Jorge Gutiérrez.

Wyatt enters his second season with Long Island and his first as an assistant coach after serving as head video coordinator/player development for the 2025-26 season. He joined the Nets following two seasons (2023-25) as director of player development with Temple University men's basketball and one season (2022-23) as an assistant coach at West Chester University. The Norristown, Pa., native joined the coaching ranks after a nine-year professional playing career with teams in China (2013-14), Israel (2014-19) and the Philippines (2019-20). Wyatt played four collegiate seasons (2009-13) at Temple, where he scored over 1,500 points and earned Atlantic 10 Player of the Year honors for the 2012-13 season.

Johnson joins Long Island as an assistant coach after spending the last three seasons (2023-26) as associate head coach at the College of the Holy Cross. Prior to his stint with the Crusaders, he spent two seasons (2021-23) as an assistant coach at the University of Vermont, where the Catamounts went 51-17 overall, won two America East Conference regular season and tournament titles and produced back-to-back America East Players of the Year. Johnson also served five seasons on the George Mason University staff as a graduate assistant and assistant coach (2015-17 and 2018-21) and spent the 2017-18 season as an assistant coach at Brown University. The Pictou, Nova Scotia, native played four collegiate seasons (2009-13) at Bucknell University, where he scored 1,384 career points and earned All-Patriot League Second Team and Academic All-Patriot League honors while helping the Bison to a 92-41 record, three Patriot League regular season titles and two Patriot League Tournament championships. Johnson played professionally with the Fraport Skyliners in Germany and in the National Basketball League of Canada before beginning his coaching career.

Paul arrives on Long Island after spending the last three seasons (2023-26) as an assistant coach at Boston University. He originally joined the Terriers as video coordinator in 2018-19 and served the following two seasons (2019-21) as director of operations, helping BU claim the first Patriot League Tournament title in program history. Between his two stints at BU, Paul spent two seasons (2021-23) as an assistant coach at Yale, where the Bulldogs went a combined 41-21 with an NCAA Tournament berth in 2022 and an NIT appearance in 2023. The Long Island native began his coaching career with two seasons as an assistant coach at Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut and two seasons as a graduate assistant at Castleton University, where he earned a master's degree in athletic leadership in 2016. Paul played two collegiate seasons at Wells College, earning All-NEAC Third Team honors as a senior, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration in 2014 after completing his associate degree at SUNY Delhi.

Lukomski joins Long Island as head video coordinator/player development after spending two seasons (2024-26) as a graduate assistant with the Mississippi State men's basketball program, which reached the NCAA Tournament in 2024-25 for the third consecutive season. He has been involved with Canada's national program since 2022, most recently as video coordinator for the U23 team at the 2025 Globl Jam in Toronto, and previously served as an on-court training camp coach for the senior men's national team for the 2023 FIBA World Cup and the 2024 Paris Olympics. Lukomski has also worked as a video and analytics coach and video coordinator across Canada's national team program, including the U18 squad that won bronze at the 2024 FIBA AmeriCup. The Mississauga, Ontario, native played five collegiate seasons (2019-24) at Wilfrid Laurier University and graduated with honors with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
