Long Island Nets Announce 2026-27 Schedule

LONG ISLAND (Aug. 28, 2026) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, announced their 2026-27 season schedule. Long Island will tip off the season under new head coach Shawn Swords with a three-game road trip beginning in Greensboro on Friday, Nov. 6, before returning to Long Island to host the College Park Skyhawks in the team’s home opener on Friday, Nov. 13, at Nassau Coliseum.
The 2026-27 NBA G League season tips off on Friday, Nov. 6. The NBA G League schedule is divided into two parts, with each team playing 14 games in the Tip-Off Tournament followed by a 36-game regular season. All 31 NBA G League teams will play at least 50 games during the 2026-27 season.
The Tip-Off Tournament begins on Nov. 6 and concludes during the 2026 NBA G League Winter Showcase in December. Following the Tip-Off Tournament, team records reset before the start of the 36-game regular season. At the conclusion of the regular season, the top eight teams in each conference will qualify for the NBA G League Playoffs, which culminate with the NBA G League Finals in April 2027.
Long Island will play 20 home games at Nassau Coliseum this season, including six Friday, Saturday or Sunday contests. The home schedule features the team’s annual Education Day on Tuesday, Feb. 9, against Motor City, as well as afternoon contests at the Coliseum on Saturday, Jan. 30, and Saturday, Feb. 13. The team will also host 5 p.m. games on Black Friday, Nov. 27, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 18.
Long Island’s home slate at Nassau Coliseum will again feature season-long promotions, headlined by Nets Value Nights on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday home date, which accounts for 10 of the team's 20 games at the Coliseum and features $5 concession specials. Students can also purchase $10 tickets in Section 19 through the team's Student Section program, available to college students and fans with a valid .edu email address.
The LI Nets will return to Canada for the third consecutive season for four designated home games at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec. Long Island will face Raptors 905 on Friday, Jan. 8, and Saturday, Jan. 9, followed by games against Noblesville on Thursday, March 4, and Sunday, March 7. Long Island will face Westchester five times, more than any other opponent, including three meetings at Nassau Coliseum on Tuesday, Dec. 8, Wednesday, Dec. 16, and Tuesday, March 16. Long Island closes the regular season at home on Saturday, March 27, against Motor City.
Long Island’s schedule also includes 24 road games and two contests at the annual NBA G League Winter Showcase in December. The team will play six back-to-back sets this season.
