LONG ISLAND NETS ACQUIRE WALLY NIANG FROM AVAILABLE PLAYER POOL

BROOKLYN (Nov. 30, 2016) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, have acquired forward/center Wally Niang from the available player pool.

Niang (6’9”, 201) played for MoraBanc Andorra last season in Spain’s Liga ACB, recording averages of 1.5 points and 0.3 rebounds in 2.1 minutes per game. Prior to playing with MoraBanc Andorra, Niang played for Liga ACB’s Club Estudiantes (2014-15) and Real Madrid’s Junior Team (2012-14). The Senegal native also joined the D-League’s Northern Arizona Suns for training camp this season.
