LONG ISLAND (Jan. 27, 2022) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, have acquired forward Treveon Graham off waivers. In a related move, Long Island requested waivers on guard Josh Gray.
Graham (6’5”, 219) has appeared in 180 career NBA games (44 starts) across four seasons with Charlotte (2016-18), Brooklyn (2018-19), Atlanta (2019-20) and Minnesota (2019-20), averaging 4.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in 16.0 minutes per game. He has also averaged 15.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 30.3 minutes per contest in 47 career NBA G League games (21 starts) after spending one season with the Idaho Stampede (2015-16) and playing one game on assignment with Long Island during his 2018-19 season in Brooklyn. Prior to his professional career, the Washington, D.C., area native spent four collegiate seasons (2011-15) at Virginia Commonwealth University, recording averages of 13.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 25.4 minutes per contest over 140 games (102 starts). Graham earned first-team All-Atlantic 10 honors twice (2014 and 2015) and second-team All-Atlantic 10 honors once (2013) with the Rams.
Gray was acquired by Long Island via trade with Fort Wayne on Sept. 23 ahead of the 2021-22 season. In 19 appearances (seven starts) for the Nets this season, he averaged 15.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 30.9 minutes per game.
