LONG ISLAND NETS ACQUIRE TALIB ZANNA

Nets Waive Zack Rollins

LONG ISLAND (Jan. 13, 2022) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, have acquired forward Talib Zanna from the available player pool. In a related move, Long Island requested waivers on forward Zack Rollins.

Zanna (6’9”, 230) has appeared in 95 career NBA G League games (78 starts) during two seasons (2014-16) with Oklahoma City, recording averages of 13.7 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 28.3 minutes per contest. Additionally, Zanna has played five seasons (2016-21) internationally in France, Israel, Spain and Turkey. Most recently, he spent the 2020-21 season overseas with Hapoel Tel Aviv B.C. of the Israeli Basketball Premier League, where he averaged 10.7 points and 7.3 rebounds in 24.8 minutes per game over seven appearances (all starts). Prior to his professional career, the Nigerian native played five collegiate seasons (2009-14) at Pittsburgh, averaging 8.3 points and 6.0 rebounds in 21.7 minutes per game over 135 games (94 starts).

In six appearances for the Nets this season, Rollins averaged 3.0 points and 1.5 rebounds in 13.3 minutes per game.
