LONG ISLAND NETS ACQUIRE RETURNING PLAYER RIGHTS TO ISAIAH WONG

LONG ISLAND (Sept. 5, 2026) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, have acquired guard Isaiah Wong from the Laketown Squadron in exchange for the returning player rights to Trevon Scott and a first round pick in the 2027 NBA G League Draft.

Wong (6’3”, 185) appeared in 34 Liga ACB games for Gran Canaria in Spain last season, averaging 14.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 22.6 minutes per contest, and ranked eighth in the Spanish league with 495 total points. The 25-year-old has played in 59 career NBA G League games across two seasons (2023-25) with the Indiana Mad Ants, Salt Lake City Stars and Greensboro Swarm, recording averages of 16.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 28.9 minutes per game. He averaged 20.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists over 14 games for Salt Lake City and Greensboro during the 2024-25 season, including a career-high 41-point performance on Nov. 20 to earn his first career NBA G League Player of the Week award. Wong has also appeared in 21 NBA games across two seasons (2023-25) with the Indiana Pacers and Charlotte Hornets, posting averages of 5.8 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 12.8 minutes per contest. He was selected by the Indiana Pacers with the 55th overall pick in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft.

Prior to beginning his professional career, the Piscataway, N.J., native played four collegiate seasons (2019-23) at the University of Miami. Wong was named ACC Player of the Year and a First Team All-ACC selection in his final season (2022-23), when he averaged 16.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.4 steals in 33.4 minutes per contest over 37 games (all starts) while earning NABC Third Team All-American honors. The three-time All-ACC honoree helped lead the Hurricanes to the Elite Eight in 2022 and their first Final Four appearance in 2023, and left Miami ranked fourth on the program’s all-time scoring list with 1,866 points.

Scott averaged 11.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals in 81 NBA G League Tip-Off Tournament and regular season games for Long Island over the last two seasons (2024-26). He appeared in six NBA games (four starts) for the Brooklyn Nets last season, averaging 8.0 points and 5.2 rebounds in 30.3 minutes per contest. Scott was originally acquired by Long Island via trade with the Osceola Magic on Dec. 27, 2024.
