LONG ISLAND NETS ACQUIRE RETURNING PLAYER RIGHTS TO ADAM WOODBURY

LONG ISLAND (Oct. 22, 2021) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, have acquired the returning player rights to Adam Woodbury from the Grand Rapids Gold in exchange for Long Island’s second round pick in the 2022 NBA G League Draft. The trade is not subject to a physical.

Woodbury (7’1”, 245) has appeared in 148 career NBA G League games (43 starts) over four seasons with Fort Wayne (2016-18), Westchester (2017-18), Stockton (2018-19) and Grand Rapids (2018-20), averaging 6.5 points and 6.4 rebounds in 17.3 minutes per game. In 41 games (six starts) during the 2019-20 season with Grand Rapids, Woodbury posted averages of 10.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in 20.4 minutes per contest. The Sioux City, Iowa, native played four collegiate seasons (2012-16) at Iowa, recording career averages of 6.2 points and 5.5 rebounds in 19.6 minutes per game in 138 games (137 starts). He earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honors during his final season with the Hawkeyes.
