Long Island Nets Acquire Draft Rights to Five Players in 2016 D-League Draft

BROOKLYN (October 30, 2016) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, acquired the draft rights to five players in today’s 2016 NBA D-League Draft.
With the 14th pick in the first round of the D-League Draft, Long Island selected guard Boris Dallo. Dallo (6’5”, 180) spent the 2015-16 season with Antibes in France’s LNB Pro A. In 31 games (10 starts), the France native averaged 5.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 19.1 minutes per game.
With the 14th selection in the second round, the LI Nets acquired the draft rights to forward Trahson Burrell (6’7”, 190). In 32 games (nine starts) last season as a senior at the University of Memphis, Burrell averaged 10.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 23.9 minutes per game.
The LI Nets also selected guard J.J. Moore (6’6”, 215) with the 14th pick in the third round, center Palpreet Singh Brar (6’9”, 240) with the 12th pick in the fourth round and forward Austin Witter (6’8”, 195) with the ninth pick in the fifth round. The team did not make a selection in the sixth round.
