By Long Island Nets Staff /October 31, 2018

LONG ISLAND (October 31, 2018) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, released their promotional schedule featuring giveaways, in-arena promotions and themed games and uniforms for the 2018-19 season at NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

The festivities begin on Opening Night, presented by EXIT Realty New York Metro, on Sat., Nov. 3 when the Nets host the Westchester Knicks at NYCB LIVE. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a special edition Long Island Nets poster courtesy of EXIT Realty New York Metro.

This season, the team is offering a five-game promotional package that includes tickets to select games (Nov. 3, Dec. 2, Jan. 21, Feb. 24, and Mar. 23), all-you-can-eat food and soft drinks, and an opportunity to participate in postgame free throws on the court. Other in-arena promotions this season include dollar hotdogs during select games (Nov. 8 and Feb. 21) and Wacky Wednesdays (Dec. 12, Jan. 2, Feb. 27, Mar. 6, and Mar. 13) where fans can purchase $2 beer and $5 wine. The Long Island Nets will also bring back the “Kids Go Free” program which grants free entry to all regular season games between Monday through Thursday for kids age 11-and-under with the purchase of one paid adult ticket with a $20 value. Fans can receive up to two free kids tickets through this special offer.

The team has also added several theme nights, including Military Appreciation Night presented by Bank of America on Nov. 11, where the team will wear special edition uniforms to pay homage to active duty military and veterans. The Nets and Bank of America are thrilled to extend this single night throughout the season with “Three for Vets,” a monthly in-game tribute where Bank of America will donate $300 to a local charity for every three-point shot made by the team.

The Nets will also bring back Education Day games and Women’s Empowerment Day presented by National Grid. Education Day games have a special 11:00 a.m. tipoff and will have complementary educational programming for youth in attendance. National Grid will also be the presenting sponsor of a Female Student Athlete of the Month award, honoring select local youth for their achievements during Long Island Nets home games.

All home games at NYCB LIVE will include inflatables, pop-a-shot, and gaming activities in the Kids Zone, presented by Send In The Clowns, as well as appearances by the Long Island Nets Kids Dance Team, Team Hype, the “Nets Noise” Drumline and Dale the Eagle, the team’s mascot. At the conclusion of every home game, select Nets players will participate in a postgame autograph session for fans.
