Nets Waive Terrico White

LONG ISLAND (Dec. 30, 2021) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, have acquired guards Jordan Crawford and Jeremy Harris from the available player pool. In a related move, Long Island requested waivers on guard Terrico White.

Long Island was granted an injury replacement exception by the NBA G League to allow for Crawford’s additional roster spot while guard Jordan Bowden (right thumb injury and right meniscus surgery) and forward Chris Walker (right knee fracture) miss time due to injury. The Nets acquired Harris via the NBA G League’s Temporary Additional Roster Spot exception, which allows teams to supplement their rosters with an additional player through January 31.

Crawford (6’5”, 195) has appeared in 281 career NBA games (99 starts) across six seasons with New Orleans (2016-18), Boston (2013-14), Golden State (2014), Washington (2011-13) and Atlanta (2010-11), recording averages of 12.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 24.4 minutes per game. Crawford has also appeared in 45 career NBA G League games (25 starts) over two seasons with the Grand Rapids Drive (2016-17) and Fort Wayne Mad Ants (2014-15), averaging 23.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 30.9 minutes per contest. Additionally, Crawford has played five seasons (2014-21) internationally in China, Germany, Israel, Russia and Turkey. Most recently, the veteran spent the 2020-21 season overseas with Galatasaray of the Turkish Basketball Super League, where he averaged 20.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 33.8 minutes over eight appearances (all starts). The Detroit native was drafted by the Nets with the 27th overall pick in the first round of the 2010 NBA Draft and traded to Atlanta on draft night after playing two collegiate seasons at Xavier (2009-10) and Indiana (2007-08). Crawford averaged 20.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 32.8 minutes over 35 games (34 starts) with the Musketeers and earned Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year honors after his final season.

Harris (6’7”, 185) has played two seasons internationally (2019-21) in Sweden and Hungary. Most recently, the guard spent the 2020-21 season with Boras Basket of the Swedish Basketball League, recording averages of 11.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 25.4 minutes over 35 games (17 starts). Before beginning his professional career, the Greensboro, N.C., native played two seasons at Buffalo (2017-19) after playing his first two collegiate seasons at Gulf Coast State College. Harris averaged 14.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 32.2 minutes per contest over 72 appearances (all starts) with the Bulls and was named to the All-MAC Second Team twice.

White was originally acquired by the Nets under the injury replacement exception on Dec. 28.
