Justin Anderson Named to All-NBA G League Third Team

LONG ISLAND (June 26, 2020) – The NBA G League announced today that Long Island Nets guard/forward Justin Anderson was named to the All-NBA G League Third Team.

In 16 games (14 starts) for Long Island this season, Anderson averaged a team-high 20.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.0 steals in 33.6 minutes per game. He was originally acquired by Long Island in a trade with Raptors 905 on Jan. 21 and appeared in 31 games (29 starts) split between the two teams during the 2019-20 campaign, recording averages of 20.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.1 steals in 33.6 minutes per contest. The Montross, Va., native finished the season ranked 17th in the NBA G League in scoring.

Anderson scored in double figures in all but three of his 31 games this season and posted 20 or more points in 13 contests. He scored a career-high 48 points for Long Island on Feb. 11 at Oklahoma City, marking the second-most points scored in an NBA G League game this season as well as the second-most points scored in any game in Long Island Nets history. Anderson also appeared in three games for the Brooklyn Nets this season while signed to a 10-day contract with the team in January and spent time playing with USA Basketball in the FIBA AmeriCup Qualifying Games in February.
