Long Island Nets Acquire 2019 Draft Pick In Trade With Fort Wayne

LONG ISLAND (Oct. 20, 2018) – The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, have acquired a second round pick in the 2019 NBA G League Draft from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in exchange for the returning player rights to guard Trevor Cooney.

Cooney appeared in 22 games for Long Island in the team’s inaugural 2016-17 season, averaging 3.5 points and 1.0 rebounds in 13.3 minutes per contest. The Syracuse graduate played in 38 games (19 starts) for Leyma Basquet Coruna in Spanish LEB Gold play last season, averaging 10.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 25.8 minutes per game.
