Long Island Nets Reading Programs

The Long Island Nets Read to Achieve Program strives to instill the importance of reading and literacy within children in elementary school.

Long Island Nets Reading Challenge

  • The program is open to all classrooms and community centers.
  • Students must read three books in one month during the school year and track their books read on their provided bookmark.
  • Once completed, students will receive one complimentary ticket to a select Long Island Nets home game upon showing their bookmark to the NYCB LIVE box office. Participants also have access to additional discounted tickets and the opportunity to take a free throw on the court after the game.
  • The Long Island Nets will honor top classroom readers and top overall readers during the 2019–2020 basketball season.

Long Island Nets Read to Achieve Assemblies are a great way to kick off the Reading Challenge and get your students excited about reading.
