Dale the Eagle Auditions

Dale’s Spirit Traits 

  • High energy, outgoing with previous mascot experience 

    Height must be able to properly fill the costume

    Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

    Candidates must be able to stand for 5 – 6 hours a day

    Candidates should also have the ability to engage through non-verbal and written communication with strong listening skills.

    Candidates must possess the ability to manage large crowds, have great communication skills, and be able to adjust to changes on the fly.

    Candidates must have previous Mascot experience

    Candidates must be available for all Long Island Nets home games.  Call time for games is a minimum of 2 hours prior to tip-off.

    Hours will vary based on Long Island Nets events and home games.


    Candidates must be 18 years of age or older

    Be the spoken voice of our mascot team, able to vocalize what the mascots thoughts and feelings are and communicate them to fans throughout games and appearances when not performing in-costume

    Assist with planning, executing, and growth of the Mascot Program through game day initiatives, video skits, exclusive events, and community initiatives

    Help with the ideation of content for Long Island Nets social media as well as execution of content

    Assist with prop and costume production, care, and maintenance

    Drive large vehicle to and from appearances

    Maintain organization of storage areas, arrange for items to be cleaned/repaired
